Which pep boys?! My local does not. I just left peps. It’s where I do all my tire swaps
Update. Oh shoot! I just called to double check and guy said they do! Thanks! @Mahnken
I'm not sold on the eHype just yet.
Exactly, and that is just one of the many cons (though a pretty damn strong one) I have against getting one. I just don't see any useful benefits of having one.Im slowly buying into the idea of our cars being shutdown remotely and limiting our movements.

any connected car
The cords are just gatekeeping that usable inner rubber layer. Moar lyfe after cordz, yo!95,000 miles on my original OEM tires.
I PAID FOR THAT TREAD, I'M GOING TO USE ALL THAT TREAD.
Just can't drive on rainy days.
I'm not going to judge anyone for buying an EV because different people have different reasons for buying what they buy but don't try to preach or worse, force, me to buying one. I'm pretty much against everything about EVs at the moment. My brother has an EV and said I should get one. When I asked why and he really didn't have an answer other than it's cool. "Cool" is subjective and I really don't think it is but I'm not going to argue that point. However, my son loves my brother's car and thinks it is cool. Environmental impact? When have we ever done anything with how it impacts the environment in mind before the government, activists, and the media started pounding that in our heads while they don't practice it themselves? But for me it is more of a functional issue than an ideological issue. Its been highlighted that carbon produced by a running vehicle has a negative impact on the environment. So people blindly make the change without asking how their new decision negatively impacts the environment.
Can they say none? Lol- we know that answer.

Remember when the environmentalists wanted us to switch over to Ethanol?I'm not going to judge anyone for buying an EV because different people have different reasons for buying what they buy but don't try to preach or worse, force, me to buying one. Years ago I worked at ITT weapons division. Some of the older BMW riders saw my DL650 and asked if I practiced riding on railroad tracks. I asked why and they said that they do, because one day it may be the only way out of some areas.Im slowly buying into the idea of our cars being shutdown remotely and limiting our movements.
Regardless, the environment is the only argument the EV advocates (and I use the word "advocate" lightly) have for getting one and that's a really weak one but that's not why I'm against EVs. Many are willing to put up with all the inconveniences associated with EV ownership for the privilege of paying more (sometimes a lot more) for a vehicle that's less functional but I'm not willing to put up with it which is why I'm against getting one for myself.Remember when the environmentalists wanted us to switch over to Ethanol?
It burned a little a cleaner but to produce and transport it created more CO2 than regular gasoline.
Not to mention food (corn) was destroyed to produce it.
But not all. Can you say that right now about the electric cars being sold?
The “whole” approach will never stick with all of us because the vulnerability is understood.
I get looking into the other side of things Pat. Doing your due diligence as a prudent thinker. You think its right to say gas cars can’t be sold in certain states?
For me the electric car is far more convenient. Even if I didn't care about the environment, I'd still have one.Regardless, the environment is the only argument the EV advocates (and I use the word "advocate" lightly) have for getting one and that's a really weak one but that's not why I'm against EVs. I think and hope that they are wrong.
Then again I guess the Covid lockdowns showed that nothing is normal and anything is possible. No tinfoil hat, just saying maybe those guys might be right someday.
