I love plants. Nothing like roasted Brussel Sprouts, green beans, or broccoli next to my New York Strip. Baked been and coleslaw are the perfect companion to my 18hrs smoked brisket. It’s not my fault that we evolved to be omnivorous.

For a wholesale switch of every fossil fuel burning device on the planet to EtOH? I doubt it. Plus there isn’t an efficient or cost effective one-step process to convert cellulose to ethanol yet, making gasoline is still cheaper.

No, just the US, down the road, and as a way to significantly reduce gasoline consumption. Would still be e85 blends. The technology will get there.

I wonder if it'll get to a point where it's indistinguishable from an actual dead animal and cheaper than animal agriculture (would animal agriculture even survive without all the subsidies), where they start using it in restaurants and store shelves to cut cost. You'll end up eating it without even knowing.
