Car-spotting thread

One of the less than 50;
id have to see that in person and look and the SN before I believed it 100%....it has some strange things going on there.....I think I mentioned it once before, it has a weird mix of street/sc components...Street bumpers, side pipes....but not impossible that it was ordered that way. Beautiful car either way.
its funny that when this car was literally the fastest car on the planet you could buy....beat ferrari at lemans among other places...it was technically a failure from a profit standpoint....now 50 years later shelby is making bank selling "best of" albums.

In the “holy crap, I didn’t think any of those were left file” I saw a Subaru Justy this morning as I was getting off the t-pike.
Oh man, I had one for a while as a beater. It was the start of my one-nice-car, one-shitheap strategy. At the time I had a gorgeous E36 M3 that I didn't want to drive through the winter.

It had been my now-wife's car through college. No ac, AM/FM radio, 5 speed MT. She overheated it so thoroughly that it warped the head past spec but I had it cut flat anyway and it limped along for several more years. IIRC, the final compression numbers were 60/90/120 the day I dropped it off at the junkyard after upgrading my shitheap to a $1000 BMW.

I remember when I was in HS a girl I knew had one of these and used to let me drive it....it had a cvt...dear god all of these need to be rounded up and crushed.
Ha. Knew a guy from high school. He bought 2 of those turds, his and her's. Pretty sure both CVT's lasted about 6 months each. Until the warranty ran out.

Very cool car sightings today post GSGF. Lot of people like to roll through Morristown it seems.

That Ferrari was rumbling so loud at the red light everyone was looking. I asked if I could take a pic he gave me a thumbs up.

When he rolled away he was gentle since lots of cops everywhere but it was so beefy omg. EB363620-9678-4FC5-8A67-C834D84E76BF.jpeg5EAD8AE3-A304-466B-92E6-418C02260C82.jpegD5C9C952-907E-4B12-8307-D6FFE4C660B9.jpeg

oh neat....

Cameron: The 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California. Less than a hundred were made. My father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love. It is his passion...
Ferris: It is his fault he didn't lock the garage.

Im going to venture a guess that its a Modena GT Spyder California....which are very nice replicas of the 250gt and what was actually used in the movie...they sure as fuck didnt wreck a real ferrari...I mean a fair assumption since a real 250 GT is worth 10M plus.

I have to agree, that is one cool looking car! Has the MG look to it.

Yes! Finally some cool cars. Now who's going to find a GTR Hakosuka?

There's actually one of these for sale on JDM Expo for like 10k? Tatyana gave the approval to grab it... if only we had a garage.

honestly I didn't know what this thing was and had to look it up. Nissan (er, Datsun) made only 20,000 of these in 1991. Some dude in Virginia has been importing (hoarding?) them since 2016 and reselling for about $30k.
