Made some solid moves today. Not a huge distance covered but quality

I did a little help at CC on Monday. Cold one for sure @snashters was swinging shovels and rake hoes a LOT to work up to temps to be down to a short sleeve in the pic J posted. Freeze thaw and frozen chunks of material made digging and more specifically shaping hard but it felt good to get a few banked rollers roughed in.

Looking down trail from the pic @jdog posted above. Doesn't look like much but J dropped a handful of big buckets down and we shaped a few rollers with inslope. On the bottom between the first 2 @snashters put a slight outslope pitch with a spoon drain. Sal (sorry don't know your screen name!) piled frozen clay on the outside of the rollers to act as a mini border and filled the insides (one positive of frozen material)

Screen shot from a quick clip I took. Pumping that roller in the background felt rad going into this table. I definitely owe some shaping once things thaw out next spring on the roller after this - it was pretty slick.

Fun line so far and I'm hoping to help in any way (but on warmer days lol). Great job by all the locals - a ton of work has been done there!

J and I were back out yesterday to continue a new re-route we started a couple weeks back. This is a section that hardly gets ridden, so it will be a nice addition, when finished. Lots of moisture still in the ground, so a little slow going in some spots.

Good things ahead here... We might have been a hair optimistic that it would be dry enough, but it was good to see where the water would flow during the wet time of year.

Fantastic day in the woods today with Kirt. We have just invested likely over 24 hours in what feels like a very small section of trail so far. The digging has been profoundly challenging with an incredibly high water table. I feel pretty optimistic that we actually have this next little section high and dry in otherwise very wet area.

Although this section might look like it’s almost ready to ride, tire ruts will not help the process at all. If you’re inspired to go look at it/do it on foot and don’t walk on the new trail tread

Pay your jorba bill if you like what we are doing.

I went to Chimney Rock for the first time ever yesterday, you guys did awesome work with the trail. I got there at 5:30 and it was starting to rain so had to leave after a bit, but can't wait to be back this weekend if it's dry enough.

Having issues checking out on Jobra's site right now but definitely will pay my bill 😛

Jorba will be getting a new website soon which should streamline the renewal process.

@jdog and I put in a full day yesterday along with some much appreciated help from @christryon and another friend of J's. We made tons of progress. The lower section is oh so close to being done. We need some dry/warm weather before it will be opened for riding, but soon. We ask you to please stay off until it's ready as to not destroy the work we put in as some sections are super soft.

If you want to be added to the list for helping at the Camp, please PM me and I'll add your email. This will be Camp only sessions that will not be posted publicly. Most but not all, will be weekdays, usually Monday or Wednesday. Obviously there can be weekend days as well, but not the norm.

thanks

Ps. Sorry I suck at good pics.

Yesterday was a big day. We found a few pockets of really good soil and many pockets of shit soil.. As @Kirt said, no wheels on this for a short bit longer. Today's rain isn't helping, but it will confirm if the layout sheds water as we hope it might.

This build will be cut in 2 sections. We just finished roughing in the part 1. If you are eager to see it, please walk it till you see both ends open.

.. while I am at it..
