Camp Cromwell property

I was saying something along those lines on the ride today. This is the best season of the year to ride until all those leaves get wet. I guess we’re never happy here.

Yikes.. at least 2 more weeks w/o a drop.

Something iv realized is that humans just love to complain. Doesn't seem to matter how good things are there's always someone who can find something to complain about

We were back at it yesterday for a few hrs. Was hoping to take the day off but Jason wanted to dig, so we dug. Shed trail is re-roughed in to the bottom. It now shoots you straight across into the start of the climbing trail. Another session to finish it off. Has anyone mentioned that we need rain?

Township dropped a load of boulders for us as they want some changes to the road crossing for safety. Not sure when we will get to it, but it's coming at some point.

This is still a work in progress. Until we get some rain we are sort of at a standstill. Yes, it’s rideable, but not really done.

If you like what you see here, throw a few bucks in

I was trying to figure the new entry into shed, guess there's a new trail planned across the gravel road?

Yep it's planned out. That open field lead in has been trimmed 4 times already this year, so not sustainable. We have something that I think will be better with more single track. Would have been finished but we keep extending Shed to bottom and the connector to Stop. Should hopefully be done mid-Nov at the current rate.

I have to say these are amazing and only getting better. From the bottom around to the top of both Stop and Shed it feels almost like an alternate universe where the climbing required seems like 1/10 of the downhill fun you get. Everyone involved, great job on the trails and double kudos for making these one-way.

This is no accident. The climbing trail will get a bit easier before long as well. There is just one spot where you have to put down a bit of power and we will take that slightly in the near term.

The shed trail now flows way more nicely into the climb 🧗 trail which is the idea. When this place opens officially, the gravel paths will be for walkers so it’s best to not get in the habit of using them anyway.

The shed trail is still super rough as we are limited by what we can do till we see some rain. 🌧️

If you like what you see, we ask that you keep an active JORBA membership

And keep in mind that supporting halters cycles allows me the time and lifestyle to bang out TM hrs in the slow season (now)

It's also a bit of alternate universe when we looking for rain to make the trials more ridable. 😛
