Camp Cromwell property

I did the outer loop today and I struggled but had fun riding it. My biggest problem is that I do not know how to ride on rocks and kept losing traction on the rear tires. I will have to make frequent trips and get comfortable riding the rocks and uphill.

Is there another place to start the ride from other than Gilbridge? The parking lot had 2 parking spots when I got there around 11 or so, alternate location to park and start the ride would be helpful. I wonder if the parking lot next to basketball courts are ok to park.

What tires are you running and are they tubeless? I'm probably going over tomorrow if you want some company.

Sorry for the late reply. Watched the Formula1 race in the morning and as soon as it was done I went for a Sourland hike.

Running tubeless tires. Tires are pretty much brand new on a new Orbea bike with maybe 75 miles or less on it. I have been riding the gravel bike more this summer.

Minion DHF (front) 2.5
Dissector 2.4

I think part of the problem might have been me panicking related to going up hill and ending up in the wrong gear.

Looks like this will be the day we finally get some rain on those trails.
I see no way the rain can miss us going by the radar... but I've been wrong on this several time in the past month so who knows!

Need a week of soaking rain to make a dent

Finally got to check out Cromwell and it's great! Kudos to Kirt, Norm, jdog and the rest of the crew. Very easy to navigate with trailforks if you know Shed and Stop Sign are the gravity trails. Outer perimeter trail seems done and the inner ones are shaping up nicely. Excited to see how this place develops and I'll try to come help when I can.
