Booties or winter shoes?

Bought a pair of Lakes for the upcoming winter season after Pat having a lot of success with them last year. I bought 1 size bigger and the wide version. Many seasons of regular shoes and booties, still booties on the road. Guess I'm getting old!

i opt for booties but then i seem to be an extraordinarily warm person, i can wear summer shoes on the mtn bike into the high teens, and as long as my feet stay dry i dont get too cold. the booties are mostly for when there is deeper snow (to stop it from melting into the shoes) and the wind on the road (for my situation)

Just go ahead and buy both now. Eventually you will so you might as well get it over with. There's a reason everyone here has experience with both...

I have wide EE - feet and Northwave winter boots fit me well. I wish I could find road shoes as comfortable as my winter MTB boots.
look at the Sidi Dominator wide shoes I picked up a pair at Halter's like 3 or so years ago and they fit great...

Just stopped by campmor today and they had an special price on the Louis Garneau 0-degrees LS-100 and the shimano MW81.
I picked the shimano MW81.
They also had the MW7 but fit on the new shimano MW7 is not the same as Wide as the older Shimano's.

I have covers but I feel it's a pain to put them on, so the shoes should be easier to just put it on and ride instead of putting layers and layers.

just pulled the trigger on shimano's winter shoe, chain reaction bikes had a killer deal on them, a few friends have them and give glowing reports
