Biggest loser

WTF, back up to 198. Caloric intake alone says I should be losing weight, not to mention that I'm actually exercising more. Must be excessive stress making me hold onto fat or something. Maybe I really should've peed on my scale.
Weigh-in intervals, well desired results at least, vary for everyone. You’ll just enjoy your next lower results even more!

It’s been 2 weeks and I’m down 2.6 lbs. So I’m on track. According to my InBody scale that came primarily from body fat mass. My pants fit comfortably and I have good energy. And my stomach is less bloated. Whole 30-ish diet going well: I have had no alcohol (except that one half glass of wine), nothing with added sugar, and zero grains. The cravings are getting much better, especially for sugar. I had a few grapes yesterday and they tasted like candy! I do miss 🥐 very much.

E2M program Round 1, Week 2, Day 6 and Dry January.

Diet
Still intermittent fasting, eating a protein, vegetable and a fat for each of 3 meals. Week #2, a serving of fruit was added to each meal. Followed it exactly. Fruit will be taken away for Week #3, back to the same as Week #1. Going to have the 1 celebration meal tonight when my wife returns from a visit with her family in FL. There was a strong urge to crack an IPA while prepping dinner last night, but since there's no beer in the house, settled for straight water.

Exercise
Very little, didn't get on the spin bike until Thursday after dealing with what ended up being a sinus infection in addition to pink eye. 2 PCR tests and 1 at-home test over 6 days confirmed Covid negative. Some antibiotics for both symptoms and feeling better. Each of my parents had the same thing over the Christmas and New Years weeks. Will be adding more of the circuit training in Week #3 as I'm feeling better, but still limited by the thumb.

Weight
1/2/22 Starting weight = 235
1/15/22 current weight = 222
down 13lbs
Taking measurements, lost some inches in my waist, hips and chest. The areas I need to lose the most weight are between my neck and hips. So progress.

The smaller weight drop was expected as carbs (fruit) were added. 8wk goal of 16lbs is even closer. Sticking with the plan, Dry Jan and increased exercise will all work to achieve the goal. Wife and I were talking this morning and we'll probably do another 8wk round #2 after round #1. I should be cleared to ride outside by the end of March, so I have outside riding in April and May to prep for TSE.

Wife stuck to the plan with more exercise than myself, hooking her mom in to participate, while in FL. She's down 2lbs this week for a total of 7lbs.
E2M program Round 1, Week 3, Day 6 (Sat.) and Dry January.

Diet
Intermittent fasting is pretty much a routine now. 16/8 has been working: 16hrs of fasting and 8hr eating window from 10:30am-6:30p. Week 3 was same as Week 1, no sugar, dairy or starches. Just protein, veggies and healthy fats. No alcohol either, except (2) allowed with celebration (cheat) meal. Urge to go get a beer at Tonewood Brewing's grand opening yesterday was minimal since a line was out the door and around the block all day with 275 max. capacity. Pretty crazy that drinking at least a gallon (8.3453lbs) of H20 a day helps with losing weight. Celebration meal last night was a roast pork Italiano with some FF, followed by a P.B. cup cupcake. Fruit will be back in Week 4.

Exercise
Did much better this week. Up M-F at 4:30am to get the workouts in. M/W/F was 20min spin bike warm-up followed by 35min of circuits from the plan. T/Th was 1hr+ on the spin bike using a training plan from Time Crunched Cyclist which I've used successfully in the past. Need to work on my morning routine to get moving quicker and add in the abs and stretching workout on T/Th. Week #4 workouts will be modified for my thumb, 4 week post stitches visit with the Dr. on Wed.

Weight
1/2/22 Starting weight = 235
1/22/22 Current weight = 218
weekly down 4, total = 17
Measurements mostly no change, 1" for the chest, but that could be a difference of my wife helping vs. me doing it myself. Down to the last hole in my belt, so that's a good sign. Based on the scale, I've already achieved my 8wk goal of 16lbs. Talk on the FB group, looks like week 5 is when many drop significantly again. Staying the course and have adjusted my goal to 30lbs which would put me at 205lb, my weight when I graduated college in 1990.

Wife was back from FL vacation and adjusting back to the NJ climate, down 1lb for the week and total of 8lbs.

It’s been a rough week. Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong at work did Thursday and Friday. Grandma passed Friday night, Saturday I tried to veg out by wrenching in the garage and it turned into a domino affect of issues that took hours to fix as well as more $$….🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

After three days of aweful I lit the firepit and poured a glass of bourbon. Which turned into several. Still ate well but not sure of the calories Thursday through Saturday evening. 28 days no booze, will go back to dry until 4/7.

I was able to get back on the bike today which felt WONDERFUL.

Not sure what this weeks weigh in will be like but I guess I will find out Tuesday. My regular work pants got a bit baggy, so today I wore a set from
My lighter days. My dropper failed minutes into my ride, but I was able to get home and grab the drop bar bike. Sigh. Things could be much worse, hoping for a better week!

Sorry buddy. 😞

Rode/hiked around Chimney Rock this morning with Dennis and Mark. Didn't put out enough energy to warrant extra calories so I ate as if I did nothing.

Woke up feeling great yesterday. Had a few hours of work in the morning then did 45 mins on the Peloton. My first meal was at 1pm - organic chicken soup loaded with veggies.

Then the playoffs happened. Alcohol, THC, Five Guys, milkshakes, cupcakes… 😕.

You need to call one of us to come over and slap the shit out you when this happens.

I had a few this weekend, for those of you keeping track @SNOW FAK3 Assisted Living Facility. The highlight was a Cab we opened for "Macbeth" called
