Anyone ever hike the appalachian trail?

I was going to say you should maybe drive across the US but like 30,000 people die in car accidents each year. Just build a bomb shelter and hole up in there. Oh wait, approximately 20,000 people die of lung cancer caused by radon every year. Maybe sit in your yard? Only 18 people have died this year from lightning strikes. That may be your ticket.

This weekend we hiked a few miles of the AT each way off PA 191.
Wolf rocks to the south was very cool, knarly, glad I wasn't carrying a pack.
To the north, there were folks hang gliding from an opening on the ridge and camping at the shelter.
