Does anybody know about furnaces? I have to buy one. I considered Lennox, Carrier and Trane, based on geek site reviews. The Lennox dealer is so backed up that they can’t come out for at least 10 days, which doesn’t give me a lot of confidence that they would be immediately available for a repair. Carrier doesn’t have a dealer near me that got decent reviews. Trane, however, has a family run dealer 10 minutes from me who got great reviews, and came out after his last job on the day I called. So Trane it is. I’m going to get an 80% efficiency, because the high-efficiency models are just too expensive. My problem is, it comes as either a single-stage or a two-stage, and I really don’t understand what the difference is. Is a single-stage more foolproof and less likely to break down? Is there really a benefit to getting the two-stage? The one I'm replacing is 60 years old, so I'm sure either one will be an improvement. This should have been Frank’s decision, and my only involvement would have been to write the check. I’m hoping that somebody has some experience in this area!

We had to replace our combo furnace/AC during the tail end of COVID so we took what we could get. Being a family of 5 we went with the high efficiency.Does anybody know about furnaces? Just a furnace - no AC.Two stage may have lower operating costs.
They are not more complicated, just software. I'm not sure you would see the return in nj
Is this a combo furnace and a/c?
I got spoiled because Frank always maintained it (that's why it made it to 60 years old).We had to replace our combo furnace/AC during the tail end of COVID so we took what we could get. Being a family of 5 we went with the high efficiency.
I’d say any of those brands are fine it’s more about the maintenance and service company that installs and maintains it for you down the line. Go with who would be able to service it best and maintain it annually and it should last quite a while.
🥰💙💜😍@mike_243 and I took our wingman out for a little SingleSpeed spin.

The heavens opened up on us mid ride. It’s funny how getting caught out in the rain while riding in the woods makes ya feel like a kid again.
Kinda think I heard Frank laughing with us.
Spoiler alert… Mike stashed The Wandering Wookiee in an especially appropriate location.
I’ll let him share the photo.
Oh Bth this is where we put our little copilot 🙂When the rain came down all I could think of was " I don't smell any rain " one of the better wookie quotes....
Did anybody find the wookie in the woods? I went in and checked and it seems to be gone...Oh Bth this is where we put our little copilot 🙂

You Sir are a Class Act.
Frank never saw the end of this trail.
I thought about him a lot while we built it.
Hope you all think of him when you ride it.
This segment is the e-bike version. I'll make the analog version the same soon unless someone else does.
Miss ya Buddy!
Hey Jake!!No worries, I couldn’t even get it over there anyway right now.
ooff.. Hope you get back to it sooner than later!!I was using it fairly regularly a couple weeks ago. I just had surgery to remove part of my colon so it’s gonna be a couple of weeks before I get back on it. Just got out of the hospital on Saturday.
