A Wookies return.....

So yesterday I rode my bike around my development, I was beat afterwards but it felt good to be on the bike again. Today I decided to step it up a bit and graduated to the rail trail, thanks for riding with me @cdrmtbiker !!! While we were on the path we ran into deez guys, @Mitch, @thegock , and Mr Gozik. Made my day, but now I’m even more beat. Tomorrow is another day and I will hit the rail trail again due to the fact that I need more upper body strength to ride trails and they will probably be too wet anyway. So if you see an old guy riding a bike too big for pavement, that would be me.

more cheeseburgers with pork roll, I’m way too skinny…..never thought I would say that. 😉
Awesome! Way to go Frank!

Today I rode with 3 buddies on the rail trail and managed a measly 8 miles. It was cold and breezy but I couldn’t have been happier in my misery….my buddies were willing to go at my super slow pace, great guys. I’ve been trying to get out as much as possible, mostly around my neighborhood. I just need a little more upper body strength before I can attempt hitting the trails without hitting trees. Thanks to Chris, Eddie, and Tommy for all the moral support that kept me going. It was also nice to run into Johnny Utah and Black, it was indeed a good day.

Great see you out there today!

I’m feeling a little pumped today! It’s chemo week and I’m on day 2 of 3 and I rode after leaving the lab, granted it was only 3 laps around my development but it’s one more than I did last time. I’m feeling a little stronger and may try the trails next week, that would be amazing to me. A note to self that we should never take our trail access and health for granted, you never know what may interfere with us being able to ride. But back to today, I feel a little more upper body strength and I was able to hold a steadier wheel. I haven’t ventured to the woods yet as I was afraid to have a tree jump out in front of me and considering I have a port implanted in my chest I need to be a little more cautious. Anyway, thanks for listening as it really helps me deal with all I’m going through.

3 laps will be 10 in no time.👍. Not for nutt’n but the kids use a funnel to get the booze in … but I guess a port could work in a pinch. 😁

Yes, trees have a habit of doing that, ask me how I know...hopefully the weather will allow for a rail ride soon, I just need to figure how to restrain the teething monster while I ride...keep the good news coming, they're a much needed gap of sunshine in an otherwise rather gray sky...

I look forward to that my brother

It’s been a while since my last update….
Today I was due for chemo but was sent home due to low platelet count, this is the second time that has happened which I’m not too happy about. I was also told today that I will finish 12 rounds of chemo, was going to start round 9 today but that got bumped until next week. I was also told that I will be on a modified but permanent chemo schedule after that. The doc wants to avoid what happened last time…..a rapid decline.
But enough of that, I’ve been riding more and I finally got back out into the woods yesterday which made me feel great! Sadly it was a slow 6 mile ride but I’ll take it. I will try to build up from here. I am really pleased when I look at my legs now and there is more meat and less sagging skin. More rides, more rides, more rides and fuck cancer.

Today marked 6 days of riding in a row. I feel a tiny bit stronger each ride, I love it, but now my ankle is a little sore…..thank you Cypro. It’s weird that I’ve had only 2 major issues with my health so far in life and both involved negative reactions. Cypro was the antibiotic I took for pneumonia which weakened my Achilles’ tendon and Erbitux for cancer which…..killed me for a short while. I ain’t taking any new shit anymore, unless it’s chain lube! Hopefully I can get out tomorrow for a few laps around the hood…gonna smoke some ribs tomorrow so I need to stay close….priorities!!!
