6 Mile Run Conditions

I got out and rode the whole enchilada after work today, and the park is in great shape. Lots of tweaks and additions to enjoy!! I thought I was just having an off day. Turns out that something is up with my front hub, and I was in reality, dealing with more than a little drag. Even though my hub was busy eating itself, I still had a great ride. Also,..MAD Thanks to Jay for taking the bike into the shop as you were closing, (sorry about the amount of trail crud...).

Anyone have an idea if conditions are good? It didnt seem like we got the ton of rain they were predicting but not sure how much will come downstream...

Mind you I have not seen if the bridges are close etc...

i was there late last week and the place was so dry it needed some rain - badly. i think it probably soaked that rain up pretty quick. my guess is a few wet corners and the problems spots will be... problems.

I was there yesterday between the morning showers and the heavy downpours. Snot slick on the way out but was already drying up on the way back and tons of annoying puddles. I would say today is probably perfect.

Trail was in pretty solid shape. There were a few wet spots but these were the usual wet spots. 90% of the trail was bone dry

The white dots are for hashing, a game where a very fast runner has a 15min head start and is then chased by a large group of runners. The "prey" leaves false trails, makes the trail go over difficult obstacles ect. The group of runners spreads out when they lose the "trail" then when found yell out to the group who continue the chase. In the end everyone drinks beer.

It's actually a lot of fun!!!

Did a loop this morning.

Couple of puddles in the usual places (except the one JDog fixed the other day! Thanks!)

leaves and needles are down, and hiding some loose sticks, and being generally annoying. Quite a few branches on the trail (which I would usually clear, but was being a strava loser.)

other than the leaves, it wasn't slick or muddy at all.

Get some today!

Anybody knows what are the conditions on the trails? Did the 6MR get a lot of rain today? I am hoping to get on the trails tomorrow noonish. Maybe the locals can give me an idea if it's going to be to muddy tomorrow?
Thanks.

Guess it rained today. I'm a couple miles away from the canal lot. Got home and the road was wet and grass wasn't saturated. Hasn't rained since (knock wood)

I'm headed back to 6MR in a couple days after dealing with a bum knee for a very long month. Should I still spray up for ticks at this time of the season?
