6 Mile Run Conditions

I would also love to know trail conditions. Would like to ride tomorrow but not if its slimy and can cause further harm to the trails.
Gracias my fellow ridaz!!

If i had to guess I'd say it's not quite ready. And I'm not one to shy away from sup par conditions.

Chimney rock was decent yesterday. That place is probably a little more fun at the moment.

Sorry I have been away from my PC (took off work). I am going for a road ride later and will post up what's going on when I pass the lot on Canal Rd. Based on my 6MR meter, it's still a little too soft. I'll confirm tonight.

I heard from a few customers that it is mostly dry. This is 2nd hand info so I can't say for 100%

they are right. it looks good. probably some puddles left in the normal spots, but blue at the canal lot looked and felt alright.

I just got back and thought the conditions were nice. I even got a bit of that red Somerset/Six Mile dust on my bike, though not nearly as much when it is bone dry there.

I started at the 27 lot and did an out and back going on red/orange/red/white/red/orange/red and back to the 27 lot. Most of the way was fine except for a few spots. It is rutted up pretty bad by what I call the "rumble strips" I think on orange and for the fields. They seem to get beat up pretty bad. The field on white where it looked like it was burned had some trail damage...not sure what did those...

There was one other spot, maybe on the orange, that had a nice sized puddle with a detour around a tree to avoid it.

All in all...it was nice to be back at Six Mile.

Perfect conditions did the loop from blue to red. Frozen and crunchy when I got in 30 degrees @ 7:30am and frozen almost sticky when I left at 8:20am

Go ride six mile it was a blast

Just got back and wow the blue trail was almost perfect. I think I counted 3 tiny little puddles - the worst area was right after the series of up and down platforms near the end, but even there it was easy to avoid the mud. I think I got 2 little specks of mud on my bike the whole ride. If I had lights I would have kept going - dang it I was figuring it would be muddy and I'd be out of there quickly.

On a personal note, it sure was fun riding there now that I have some semblance of knowing what I'm doing - the last time I rode there it was prolly the 3rd time I rode trails on a mountain bike - ever. And I killed a few personal demons by making it over all the skinny boardwalks and bridges - even that rickety ghetto bridge near the end where I previously always walked it. yeah me!

Rick, I was the person in the MTBNJ jersey and will echo what you said! I only did the canal side but it was MINT. Get it while you can homies. Not one spec of six mile mud on my bike AT ALL.

Man I should have stopped - I thought I saw mtbnj after you passed! How'd you get in, I didn't see any cars in the canal lot.

I'm almost the exact same distance. But I wussed out and drove the 3 miles from home to the millstone causeway lot and rode the towpath up from there.
