6 Mile Run Conditions

Just did everything, except the new closed part, did the road to canal lot.
Going out from rt 27 was fast and dry. From canal to the metal bridge was fast with splashes in the divots, like it only rained on half the park.
Saw an a$$hole on an electric moto. I reminded him it was illegal and he reminded me that he didn’t care.
He was heading toward a group of summer camp kids on mountain bikes so maybe someone got a pic. I couldn’t.

Took a quick ride over to 6MR concrete bridge to see what arrived overnight - just one large tree across 4 tubes!
cleared that and the couple of branches hung up - but here is the important part.

3 riders went by in 15 minutes - I checked their bikes and asked each about conditions - and they said it was dry with a couple puddles.
no mud on the bikes.

Swung through the canal lot, and a group of kids led by a couple adults were getting ready to roll out.

🤷

Condition were outstanding. Made it back to the parking lot right around the time when bigger rain drops started.

How do I get rid of the sticker bush stuff from my clothing other than wait until it dries and pick them off one by one.

This is a hanging lead in the tree past the concrete bridge towards rt 27.
it is big, and just hanging there - trapped in another lead. hard to tell in the pic.

I put up some caution tape an routed people through the woods.

Both these dead trees are going to come down. we should do it...

Those look like some real widow makers. Its hard to tell from pics but they look like Ash trees.
Definitely need a reroute away from this until these trees can be taken down.

Any idea of conditions after the rain? Possibly wanted to ride the fatbike down the canal and do a loop tomorrow during the day. Rode the canal trail by Duke Island Park and it wasn't really muddy at all, just wet since its been so dry. Not sure if I should head to 6M or Chimney Rock.
