Mid mountain lodge? look at you....big spender....I see the pioneer lift down there.
Grandpa ever tell you about the time in 1987 when I almost fell off that lift? Fuck I HATE that lift....when I was a kid I would take Thaynes and actually walk up to jupiter access so I wouldnt have to get on it lol.
is that an old triple?
When Gore has snow, it is great. The terrain kicks ass, I love all the glades. They just never get the huge dumps, same with Whiteface.
Jay Peak's glades are always hyped up and they are really good, but when Gore gets snow, those glades are just as good.
I haven't been to Gore in forever, I miss it. I would guess my gore days are over.
One of the things that makes Gore great is that it's not on any mega pass so it's not as crowded. Owned by NY State so I don't see it happening any time soon. A frequent skier card for $59 gets you half off midweek and 25% off weekends at Gore, Belleayre and White Face, so it can be pretty cheap.
And the seasonal kids program is ~$3000 Dec to March. We spend that in a week when we go out west for a day care/group lessons.
Fair enough. Maybe when I retire.

Went to Pico today, which usually doesn’t disappoint but today it was crowded and there was plenty of skied off and or thin cover. Granted I know it is MLK weekend and I didn’t get there until 11am, so I guess I have myself to blame. 😛. Made a few runs and called it, looks like it’s a VT beer kinda afternoon in the condo. 
11AM on a Saturday of a holiday weekend. About as busy as it gets, sans Powder Day.
We were talking to 1 of the guys at the lodge last week who said last year the holiday weekends were actually a bit better due to the Ikon blackouts on these weekends. I guess that was a 2024 thing though.
Do we think it is a horrible idea to go to Blue tomorrow?

Friday at Killington more than made up for it, no crowds and great conditions. I had for low expectations for Saturday, hence the late start and early finish.
I've only tried Blue once on a weekend many years ago. That was enough. Even if the lines aren't horrible, the 2 six packs and one quad just put too many people on the trails at once.
