First ride back after a 2 week rest. Legs felt dead, but it was nice to get back out.

Rode my road bike today. Forgot how quiet and smooth it is. Its almost like cheating. I didn’t work up a sweat or heart rate it just flows so nicely on the road. But I also forgot how the position is so different from a mountain bike. Definitely time to take it in and get another fit. Not as comfortable as it used to be, or I just got spoiled riding the mountain bikes all the time.

The Hubby rode his “hybrid” bike finally. Its been sitting in the garage for years. Its an old bike, REALLY old brakes. Pretty funny, he went to stop and hit a fence. When I said “ride much?” he said he forgot he didn’t have disc brakes.

That is all for today.

Too wet around here to ride the horsethief and not enough time to drive so a road ride it was. Nothing of note except stopped at Otto's farm for a sammich break and noticed a somerset county sheriff K-9 unit parked so as not to be visible from wertzville rd. There was a dog inside - he barked at me - but no sheriff. Don't know if he was out for a walk with another dog or snoozing - didn't venture close enough to look inside. At least it wasn't a-rockin.

Also interesting what you notice along the road during the day. I counted at least 4 piss bottles. And noted differences between what kids drink in the boonies vs hillsboro townies. Boonies tends to be more beer and little one oz booze bottles, hillsboro townies like 1.5 lt wine.

Anywho, another british road selfie for Kev
