Stoked you got some goods. My wife and I were supposed to be there last weekend when Stowe was getting that storm. But something came up at home. We are getting back there in February and fingers crossed the base will stay and new material will fall on top! (I still need to get my back in better shape after spraining it from ice hockey injuries accumulating the past few weeks 🙁 )
Thanks, it was incredible. i can’t load a video here, I’m not very tech savvy, but it would show knee deep. Wednesday was incredible. A buddy of mine was at okemo today, 45min lift lines, ooouch.

i thought VT was closed to people that dont live in VT???? I've been planning a trip to whiteface, but would much prefer VT.

Based on the ski forums and discussions with customers with property in VT, plenty of people are just ignoring the restrictions since there is no actual enforcement.

I've been sticking to NY like a good boy, for now. Maybe after I get vaccinated I'd feel better about ignoring the restrictions and getting some real use out of my Epic Pass.

you can go, you have to sign an a form attesting to 14 days of quarantine before you travel to VT, or 7 days quarantine and a negative covid test, something along those lines. I have basically been quarantined since late March, so it wasn't much of an issue for me. The only place I've been indoors is Stowe in August. Any place you stay, will have the info for you. Just make sure lift tix are available where you want to go. I like whiteface a lot, but my guess is the skiing in vermont is much better right now. the whole state got over 2-1/2 feet last week. some places got over 3 feet. That's a lot more than whiteface.

make sure you sure that attestation form, somebody in front of me at Sugarbush couldn't get through the lift because of it and had to walk all the way back to the ticket office.

thank you - im strongly considering it

Typical shitshow at Hunter today. Lines at 6 pack about 20 minutes. North and West side had no lines.

Two boneheads on a very closed Westway. If you zoom in on the right side about 1/3 of the way down. Ski patrol was at the bottom, just waiting. Going to be a long wait.

FYI, what looks like weeds growing out of the snow are actually at least 6 feet tall.

I have a small hill on my property that my kids and I usually sled and/or snow tube on and I want to use it to learn snowboarding/snow skateboarding. Anyone got anything available to sell? Internet searches have been coming up empty.
Are you looking for a beater setup just to fart around on? I might have some old snowboard gear that would work for free. Send me a DM if interested.

@gpTron
I have an old set of the Burton step-ins sitting in the attic if you're interested. Bindings are good but 1 boot cracked at the plastic step-in interface after a hard fall i took. Would probably still work for a beginner not pushing them too hard though - Size 9 and FREE. I liked the step-ins but by the time i cracked that boot, Burton wasn't making them anymore so i went with K2 Cinch bindings which i'm still rocking today on my late 90s Morrow board.

i still run these when i go to someplace without snow, or short runs. I broke one of the straps, and can't get the screw out to replace it!

I've been basically living up here in Vermont for the most part during this whole covid thing. Which a had in December, mild symptoms. I've had so many friends and acquaintances attempt to rent my place out to try and bypass all these restrictions. Other friends just went to New Hampshire because of less stringent restrictions. I don't get these restrictions that different states attempt to impose anyway. Last I heard, this was still the United States of America.

Looks good, I’ve never been there. Soft?
Yes, nice and soft with all Ice covered.

They did a good job by not grooming all of the trails, with some wider runs were done 1/2 groomed and 1/2 al natural.

All of Glades and off trail tree access have plenty of snow, but trees need to be thinned out to be perfect. But what company has $$$ for that?
