I think he is referring to this section where I put a red arrow on the attached photo. I also saw the downed tree on my ride Sunday afternoon. The downed tree is close to that arrow, but the arrow is not an exact pinpoint. Wish I could give better intel to you. Sorry that I'm doing this from...

Went to Stephens today and hit 1 mile in/out of Lower Maze, and 1/2 mile in/out at the NICA Trail (Blue Rock) with loppers and a corona saw. I focused mostly on branches in 4 different spots that were low enough for a helmet to bang on. On my walk out, I did spend some time using the corona...

I'm no tree expert, but from the sounds it was making it appears that it's gonna fall any minute now. I can't upload a video, but here's it's location. Keep an ear out for it and be careful. It's leaning downslope, right towards the trail. I'm skittish around stuff like that, as a few years...

Went to Middle Maze armed with a corona saw, loppers and permethrin. Spent a couple hours cutting back face slappers and overgrowth. The weather was amazing!

Was riding with a couple of friends around the Lime Kiln area (Pots & Pans, Orange trail). We didn't have saws, so we did the next best thing and each grabbed a section of trunks/ branches, then counted 1, 2, 3 and heave-ho'd those suckers off the trails. Fun!

I went to Stephens today and took a quick walk to check on the conditions and see if it's ready or not for riding on Saturday. The very last traces of ice and snow are melting, however that means that the trails are soggy and about 1 to 2 inches of mud. So I'd say no, it's not ready for riding...

The trails at Stephens on Saturday were covered with snow that covered a layer of ice. Today was the same. Looking at the weekly weather forecast, it's more of the same. Time to learn ice fishing ;)
