Nassau Trail conditions

The trails were flowing great today, my first time there since last fall.
The new work on springside is fantastic. That gap jump is a bit above my pay grade though...

If you’re there around 4-8, get a burger to go from Circa. Or if you’re earlier, the coffee shop is excellent and has some good treats; Not just go coffee.

And of course if the brewery is open....

And....you might run into the owner of Circa riding the trails. He's an avid rider.

I rode the flow trails last night and Nassau this morning. Both in primo shape!

Man High Bridge sure is a nice place to live if you like bikes!

good gosh. I want to move to that area now. Turning out to be a mountain bike mecca. The Mrs. likes the country life.
I don't know the trails there well. Where is the gap? Videos?!

The Gap is on the Springside section of Nassau. I don't have a Map, but it's towards the bottom of the outermost loop.

If you were looking at a map of Nassau, you'll see a square field with a connection into the trails at the top center. If you were to go right (east) from there, the entrance to the new trail with the gap is only about 1-2 min ride in. I think it's the third possible right turn from that spot.

The trail is still still has a little of that new trail lumpiness, so you can recognize it as a new trail pretty easily. The gap is only a couple minutes into the trail. After that there are a handful of really small doubles and tabletops and two new log rides as well as it connects to a more established trail.

The gap isn't all that bad, but its like there is a magnet pulling you to the right side of the trail on the landing. Even knowing it does this I still end up off trail or at least skirting that edge more often than not. Then again, maybe I just suck at gap jumps 🙂

There have been some other sneaky additions all throughout the trails on the east side of Nassau road as well1. Most, of them make spots that were kind of a feature before, more of a actual feature now. There are a few nice sets of doubles, a couple little jumps, some of which are little mini-hip jumps all scattered throughout.

Relatively small tweaks that honestly make what was a really fun set of trails even more fun. I do 80% of my riding here and I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed the updates they have made.

It seems that @Glenn Rides After 4 PM CST pointed out the location in post #616 - copied below. Hopefully my understanding is correct.

Not sure how much rain High Bridge area got today. Would trails, pump track and flow trails be ok to ride tomorrow morning? Or do the trails need more time to drain? Thanks in advance.

They are marked CLOSED as of today. About 2 inches of rain fell.

Hey there guys- Are the flow trails extensions of the "traditional trails". I just want to be on the lookout- hoping to ride there in the near future rain is currently predicted for the next few days... :-(

Anyone interested in running a jumping clinic for newbies to jumping? I am an old fart and I have always kept wheels on the ground. I will agree with a previous poster that gap looks above my "current" pay grade!
