This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

if we go too soon, i think it will be a mess.
otoh, who is just going back to normal. nobody is getting on that train or bus.
there still won't be any large gatherings
so even "open" doesn't mean open in the next 3 months.

I don't know. A few people drinking on the front lawn down the block pretty much turned into a block party the other night. People are looking for normal. Or to get drunk.

that seems reasonable - as long as they don't hug. just kinda hang outside, and chat. don't share the peanuts, etc.
no hugging!
i think that is the near-term new normal (ntnn)

The TapInto Summit Video guy was just here at the shop to make a video about Local Heroes and how to protect them by wearing a mask. He of course walked into the store without reading any of the signs on the door, pushed the wall of boxes down to get onto the sales floor and then asked if he could Interview us on Camera. I threw him out of the store and told him that masks aren't a problem in this town READING is. GTFO.

ill believe may 15th for reopening when it happens. It would be great if they are right and keep to the schedule, but i wouldnt bet on it

note that is only for rural upstate counties.

And my calculation was off - extrapolating ny ex nyc + nyc it's more like 4M exposed

Wife's friend at work just lost her husband yesterday. Never got off the ventilator. That's 4 for my wife's co-workers. Just like the flu.
Same here, I'm hearing about more people in my social circles dying of this. And looking at the beaches last weekend I suspect the #s arent going to decrease.

Wondering if I'm the only one who is apathetic to this whole thing if it wasn't for my wife and the law I have doubt that I would have changed any of my behaviors.

I understand the risk of this and don't mean to be insensitive to anyone, I guess my limit to out run the zombies will be short and I'll eat norm's brain.

haha it seems like you guys turned a cuomo statement about NY to a Rick prediction for NJ. But since you asked, I doubt Murphy lifts anything other than park access before June 1.

that is how it came across, especially with all the talk about ny/nj/ct all following the same plan (or was that only talk about shutdown times and it doesnt apply to restrictions being lifted??)
