This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

Hey @rick81721 - i had read that the viral lung thing is cause by sloughing off in the throat and finding its way down the into the lungs.
if that is the case - then intense workouts might be adding to the chance of complications?
You got a line/opinion on that?

But if you're doing said workouts by yourself, there's nothing to worry about. Stay away from ppl, simple as it gets.

Good point. But I can't clean/disinfect the take out I order.

You can disinfect the packaging. Or open it and then wash your hands. My point is just that everything you bring into your house from the supermarket could have coronavirus on it, and just assuming ordering food that is handled by 2-5 people is less likely to have coronavirus on it is probably not a safe assumption.

So live your life 2 weeks at a time? Id rather not.

now i'm scratching my head.....when i say I, i mean anyone. as in perhaps we should all be careful
how hard we work out, cause one of us is going to go positive.

i live one day at a time, cause i overthink everything, and it could spiral out of control very quickly....

I'm all about taking precautions. I'm not stopping my workouts bc that's the only thing that keeps me sane. I keep a distance from ppl in my daily life anyway, even more so now. Any kind of strenuous workout makes you susceptible, that's why good nutrition and sleep are paramount, build your immune system before something comes along.

So im gathering up the laundry in our room tonight to bring downstairs and wash....my wife hands me a garbage bag with clothes in it....I assumed it was stuff she usually puts aside for donation....Shes like no, those are my work scrubs....wash those too. im like WTF? How about we just set fire to that shit?

New Jersey’s top public health official says everyone, including her, will eventually contract the coronavirus.

“I’m definitely going to get it. We all are,” Judith Persichilli told NJ.com. “I’m just waiting.”

Persichilli, 71, is a member of the age demographic for which the virus is most deadly. Nevertheless, she said she believed the odds were still on her side and she would most likely have a mild form of the illness.

having had viral pneumonia in 2016, if you have a chest cold, or something in the lungs, I’d say don’t exercise. when I had that bug (whatever the hell it was) I ignored the way I felt, rode 6MR in the wee hours of the morning when I was coming down with something (November 6, I remember the ride and it sucked and was cold). I was out for a month because of it. The rides after that were no fun too. I swear if I just listened to my body I would have been on the bike in half the time.

Will have to look into this, sounds plausible but maybe by the time you have symptoms exercising is the last thing you want to do. I had a flu virus of some kind last year this time and it knocked me for a loop within 24 hrs. Fever for about three days and wanted to do nothing but stay in bed.

This whole thing is bigger than us. IMHO we can’t control the outcome. Protect yourself and your family the best you can. We probably all have it already. Either you get symptoms or not. It is possible to have it and not get sick from what I’m hearing. I’m distancing the best I can and keeping my family as safe as possible but I’m still riding and living some type of life. That’s all from me. Stay safe everyone

Stimulus failed passage - was up to $2 trillion - which is an amount I cannot even fathom.

futures already hit the bottom limit. I think someone needs to tell the traders that they need to look at things a bit differently. Like, it’s not normal so don’t trade like it is, or should be.

She actually said that? Dr Fauci said that's a myth this week.

Well 2 things here. First, not everyone gets it. Second this assumes no vaccine will be developed. This will be fast-tracked and for sure not subject to the same lengthy clinical trials that normally slow these things down.
