OOS MOGA

Paul, thanks for the words of advice. I am currently setup with a 1x 10 speed Shimano XT modified with a 42T cog and RADR cage from OneUp components. The front chainring is a 32T raceface that came with the crank when I bought it off the classifieds on here. I have a 30T raceface NW arribing today and I will install it as soon as i can get my hands on it.

As for the weight...I don't think the problem is the bike. yes, it's aluminum and not carbon, yest it's old...but as it sits the whole bike is about 26.5 lbs. I am not that aware of how much the new bikes weight but I believe that unless you move into full XC territory you probably get around 30+ pounds on a full suspension.

Yes, hardtail is an option. That's all I used to ride in the days, having transitioned to FS though I'm not really sure I want to go back.

That leaves one thing to work on...my weight, strength and stamina!

Not cramping up, my legs get stiff with lactic acid due to the long hiatus I gave my muscles during the last 25-20 years...hopefully I'am catching up with some exercise which I believe is the only cure for it. I can understand that I am being a ball and chain when this happens (always) so I think it maybe better for me to try and get better on my own instead of being the designated party pooper!
I had a feeling you were a bike nut
Just keep on coming out and keep on pedaling

Definitely keep coming it helps to have a group to ride with and we don't mind, we have been waiting for @arangov3 and his mechanicals since the first ride LOL

LOL. My tagline used to be "Lower Your Expectations". I will admit my regular riding locations are Allamuchy, Mahlon Dickerson, Stephens, Deer Park, Kittatinny, and Dickerson Mine so I'm used to rocks, roots, and log overs so my bikes tend to more suited for those places. So in that respect maybe I'll bring the Bucksaw and swap out the fat wheelset for plus wheelset that Jim just built for me as the Mach 6 would be overkill if my assumptions of CR are correct.

Oh so we're neighbors? This is where I live

This is where I work which is why I ride at those places. That's also where all of my friends are who I met through riding. I actually live closer to CR.

Ah man I'm looking for closer people for quick rides, the search continues. Lmk if you around after 5 and I'll join you

Paul give me the link for the carbon bike your looking at so I can buy it first and show you how badly I got ripped off
Gonna PM it to you... don't want a possible noob to see this and think its a great deal or something... don't want anyone hurt or dying lol
