Movies Pearl Should See...

She's a lucky girl

Well, there is a ton more to the story but yeah. It was actually a double feature. Highlander was the first movie and Way of the Gun was the second movie. Have you ever seen Way of the Gun? The first 3 minutes are magic.

Was KIDS mentioned... Pretty strong movie for its time... I clearly remember having to produce an ID to see it

wow - yeah that is more than a movie.

*edit* i'll throw in two independents that i'm not sure were mentioned yet - Pi - cool story concept to fry the brain a little and one of the first films to use that POV camera in-your-face technique, as well a cool version of "fast cutting".

and one for you and the lady - Buffalo 66. its a weird kinda-love story but not. - vincent gallo directed it (you may have seen his belvedere vodka commercial). the movie is a little insane at times, its funny - but not LOL funny. if you're into cinematography at all, the camera shots are cool - he shoots stuff very square in the film - makes for interesting shots. stars christina ricci and vincent gallo.

I don't think it would be the same watching it in your 20s or 30s

i could see that. it definitely had that "shock" factor to it.

but now that i have kids, it could have been more disturbing watching it for my first time now tho.

The original "Bad Boys" was one of my favorites also. The one with Sean Penn. I still remember the scene when he puts all the soda cans in the pillow case and just destroys that dudes face.
