You are right, most of it does. Steel Panther rules though.Metal suks
Well the reports are that Peter Steele passed away yesterday from heart failure at 48. I havent found any "good" source to confirm but everything I have read seems to leave it that its not a hoax this time. If it is oh well, shame on me.
I wasnt a big fan of Type O Negative, but I did spend a good amount of my teens listening to Carnivore. This song is about 20 years old, its not the one I wanted to post but its good enough. Enjoy the crappy video.

Some of the best thrash metal ever comes from right around the corner guys...Overkill from Old Bridge have been releasing quality thrash since 85. Their new "Ironbound" is already a candidate for best of 2010.
Their older albums such as "Under the Influence" and "Years of Decay" are true classics. Those guys never caved and have been carrying the torch many have abandoned...(Metallica anyone??)
I went to one of their shows not long ago in NJ and was absolutely shocked that very few people from the crowd had actually heard of them...what a shame...growing up in the suppressed culture of the middle east those guys made music that was like a sanctuary to the younger rebellious generation. So many good memories!
Last night I went to see Testament, Megadeth and Slayer at the Izod Center. Fun was had by all. Dave Mustaine was losing his voice but the band was solid. Slayer was; well they were Slayer, awesome!:getsome:
Is there any actual singing in any of these bands or is it just more of the "Cookie Monster with his hand caught in the blender" screaming/croaking? 😕 Seems like a requirement, probably since Pantera's "Great Southern Trendkill", and that singing is taboo for some reason. 🙁
eg. - I like Lamb of God for the most part and then the "vocals" kick in 🙁 makes it hard to listen to a song or two...
Imo, Mustaine is horrible live, always has been. Glad to hear Slayer made it, reports were Tom Araya recently had back surgery.
