2009/2010 Snow Accumulation

About 20" in Brick. My house got hammered with 3 foot drifts...even on the roof. That's what I get for living next to the Brick HS football field.🙁

We had 15" to 20", with some pretty impressive drifts to be found. After digging out my house and two cars, then doing my mother in-laws place/car, I too am going to sit on the couch under a blanket, drink some hot chocolate, watch some football, and play a lot of Fallout 3.

gotta agree dude I think we got close to 24" with the drifts close to 4 foot....good fun.

I'm calling 28"

Belmar - The general consensus in the neighborhood was around 28 inches.

3 hours of shoveling pretty much did me in as well. Tried to get to Redbank last night - turned around and then got stuck in my neighborhood. Dug out the car - got home and drank by myself. Spent on hour on the off ramp from 138 to 35 in a line of cars this afternoon. Apparently they plowed in the on ramp.

I feel your pain Fred - the best was one of the people fighting with the cops about how long it took to clear the ramp. I would have tazed the guy. On a positive note it was a bunch of good samaritans that helped to clear the ramp and get the car out of the way. I'm going to start driving with a shovel in the car from now on.

About 20'' in Allaire Country. Drifts approaching 3 feet. Most of my neighbors had to climb out their windows this morning.

No worries Chris. We packed down a bunch of the blue trail. And it appeared that we where the first ones to venture out.

I was half expecting to see you there on XC skis.

We where on snow shoes for like 5 minutes but then determined that it was too deep, powdery and annoying so we ditched the snow shoes and continued without them.

By the time we got back to the lot, there where probably about 10 other cars and a buncha folks strapping on snowshoes. It is foreseeable that some riding will be had in the coming days.

Oh man, I was very much wanting to break out the snowshoes today, but there was nothing left in the tank when the shoveling was completed.

Hopefully Tuesday.

lacey an easy 18" plus... side note mmuller how was the show? i work next door but was told not to drive up...

Show was good. Many acts cancelled. Was sold out around 1400 but I think about 200 or so showed. Too bad. Was hoping they'd reschedule. Thought at the end we were spending the night in the theater!

I would say that this is quite the reversal of situations but we never see 2 feet up here. Crazy stuff.

Oh so happy first day of winter today!

It wasn't too deep over here in the P-Way area, and a little less over near Norm's hood, maybe a foot in the deepest spots😀

I was just hiking at Mercer Cnty Park. I'd say there were 6-8 inches on the ground. I was walking on trails between the East Picnic area and the Peddie Boat House in hopes of making a rideable loop later in the week.

The XC skiers are out in full force to so that may help us later. Right now there is too much snow to ride.
