Allamuchy North Conditions

Went out this morning with Tim the new Jorba lead for Allamuchy north. Hit the orange loop in tranquility a little early this year to knock down the brush. Covered the whole loop. Should be good for a while. Hit a lot of prickers and barberry just as it was starting. Did find 3 trees so will have to go back with the saw. View attachment 260918View attachment 260919
Stoked to see that Tim is getting out there.. I had a good chat w/ him last night about revitalizing Moochie. He is inspired to bring it back to life. I'm excited to see what he brings to the park after a period of minimal trail work.

Thanks for the intel! Sorry you blew up your transmission. Is it safe to assume the top two pics are next to each other (near the continental drive trailhead)?
Yes, sorry I meant to clarify that. The tree is blocking each side of a switchback. There also happens to be a “low bridge” just beyond the second pic.

@goldsbar is correct. My apologies. Trailforks said I was there but yes, it’s actually where the red mark is

Hey does anyone know if there’s still trees down on the steep rock roller off of cardiac? They were there since December/January
Yes. I saw it a week ago. I intended to get it soon but am on the DL for a week or 2 after pulling something in my back on my last trip out with the saw.
@chainsawer You see it on the left when riding up the main trail. Rider access to the roller is just a bit further up ...after the main trail turns there is a left to circle back to the roller. The tree is more or less at the bottom of the big roller. Looked to be a pair of 12-14" sections or something like that.

I cleared everything within the purple circle today. Unfortunately I didn't have enough steam left to take care of the last one on "Ice Cream". Will have to save that for another day.
Bill and I took care of this one you missed on Ice Cream today with the hand chain. Rollie and Cardiac were all clear too. We took care of a few others we encountered. Not sure if we missed one on a Cardiac rock roll that was reported. Nothing stuck out at us, but not sure we rode that one.

Trails were in good shape, just came across a few on the rollie, lumpy, cardiac, etc loop. Not gonna report the few easily hop-able ones for someone on lumpy. We moved a few things off and cut one.

Did a three park ride yesterday and in my screen planning tried to use this trail.

It absolutely does not exist...maybe it did at one point? Tried to submit a revision to close it so no one else ends up hike a biking on the Highlands trail like we did. Should've just took Yellow around.

Yeah, I did the same a month ago. Tried to find this trail to get out of the highlands trail. I did not find it either and ended up hike-biking to the Pebble Loop yellow at the bottom of your screenshot..
