What have you done to your car today?

I'll say because of this I guess. I looks at Timbrens too and this seemed to be the better optio. Since the option of upgrading to a 250 or 350 was not an option 😃View attachment 251099
You mention Timbrens. Did you consider Sumo Springs for load control? I added a set of Sumo S to my '16 Tacoma to tow my teardrop. Tacomas are notorious for squatting with load. Daily driving, didn't know they were there unless I took a speed bump too fast.

Basically the same thing as the Timbrens. Went this route based on reviews. So far it actually feels better driving without a load so hopefully it helps with the trailer.

Did the rear brakes on my wife's Outback. I was planning to do all 4 wheels but when I took the fronts off they still had enough life in them to change my mind. Plus the weather was no longer looking cooperative so I didn't want to get half way through the job and start feeling rain. I have all of the front stuff on the shlef now so I'll be readt to do them when the times comes. Anyway, 56,000 miles and the rears were ready. Subarus tend to eat the rears faster than the fronts with the stability control system.

Splurged and bought myself one of these sets since I needed one to spin the rear calipers back in place. No more struggling with C clamps, and the included caliper hooks were a nice bonus. Glad to stop struggling with bent up clothes hangers too.

This is my first time using these coated rotors. I'm interested to see how long this finish actually lasts on the non-friction surfaces. This is powerstop stuff BTW.

Definitely time to go. The rotors looked fine but might as well do the full job since I had all of the parts.

Still have a shirt from my first job, nearly 22 years after the store closed.

I have to do the rear on my wifes car and im kind of dreading it, especially since she has the electronic parking brake nonsense that i have to deal with, but the parts are here soooo....

this applies to most modern cars, especially if the stability control system is activated frequently

Thankfully the Subaru e parking brake is easy to deal with, just need to screw the piston in to compress it.

Gonna go out on a limb and say yes🤣

unfortunately my wifes car needs to be put into service mode, fortunately my scanner can do that (supposedly). WIll likely take a day off this week to take care of it so will probably report back at that point.

Already had a high beam out, then a low went out, so I replaced all the bulbs both sides. F you Ford. 13 bolts, two retainer clips, and multiple press in tabs to get the headlight out to replace. Put brand new bulbs in both headlights as I don't want to have to do this again.

yea this sucks, but be glad its not a hyundai, i had to pull the fender off my wifes gensis to remove the housings just to change the bulbs.

Like its a "wearable" part. Why does it need to be so difficult? Could have done the front brakes faster.

Full on body work....for a headlight bulb!

yea rediculous, my car has a trim piece across the front when you open the hood, remove it and reach down, 20 min to change all the bulbs why cant everyone do it that way?

Life’s too short to burn a PTO day to bust knuckles.

its use or lose time at this point, so if i dont burn it im gonna lose it anyway, it still beats working for the man. Plus this frees up weekend time to ride with friends.

Well that’s just horrible!
Did you attempt to get access to the bulbs by removing the wheel well liner? Not long after I got my ‘20 F-150 the right front turn signal was working intermittently. I undid a few of the tiny bolts on the liner and was able to squeeze my hand in there to access the bulb. Turned out that it wasn’t plugged in properly.
Edit, found a video that might make you mad…

You know, it's funny my old Hyundai surprised me. Ever car I owned before it you'd basically contort your hand scraping it up to get a light bulb into the housing. Couldn't figure it out in the Hyundai and had to look in the manual. At first it annoyed the fuck out of me that I had to take the housing off.

Until two screws on top popped off the entire light housing and I could easily change the bulbs without scraping up my hands.

Apparently it's only a feature on the $10,000 model.

Now we have LED headlights, so a replacement is a trip to the dealer and probably 2k. Hope they last!

Less have like a 10k hour or better lifespan. So as long as the drivers for them last you should be fine
That said the less I put in my truck aftermarket haven't given me any trouble in 6 ish years which is 3000ishbhours on the engine. Certainly much less kn the bulbs

Didn't like how stiff the new work van was so pulled a leaf out . Of course the center pin and u blots didn't have enough threads to just make up the difference so had to chop up the removed leaf to use as a spacer lol . It's better but could definitely use some yellow bilstein's .
