What have you done to your car today?

$1400. Gotta pay for those new woke Jag commericals. Used to be a car company. Now? No idea.

Interesting that this is the consumer that they’re marketing towards? Or do they want to create an image of being futuristic, assuming that this is what most people think is futuristic? I don’t know, when my dumb as thinks “futuristic” I’m thinking a little different than sexually ambiguous people dressed like Devo, I’m thinking jet packs, flying cars, teleportation, getting my power from a miniature quantum singularity, etc.

No idea. However, last year Jag announced to dealers they will be going full EV, no gas fired models at all. Franchise owners lost their shit and many walked away from their franchises for more land rover allocations. They may be circling the drain along with Nissan.

Jag miscalculated badly. Everyone (governments) are dialing back their targets for EV’s. It turns out that it’s harder to legislate people into something they don’t want than everyone thought.

Drain hose popped out somehow and my trunk filled up with water. Cleaned it all out and zip tied the hose so it doesn’t happen again.

Then replaced the front end of my wife’s Corolla after uninsured illegal driver accident number 5.

p.s. if you have a car with electronic parking brakes, make sure the battery is good before starting, had some issues that i believe were related to a low voltage warning that popped up while trying to re-enable the parking brake.
I wonder how many Jaguar SUV owners do their own brake jobs? 5? Just you?

You can use a 9V battery on the leads to bring them in too. My RAV4 wasn’t going into maintenance mode and just used a battery and hand pressure.

Yea I figured that out. At the end it reset one side but not the other threw an incomplete and then error codes for everything. It was an ordeal until I did just that with my jumper pack.

I saw this. What a way to allienate your primary customer base (rich old white dudes based on my observations)

Why advertise to people who are going to buy your car anyway? Find some new suckers.

Years ago we’d get the brand new XJS V12s right off the boat delivered to our sunroof shop for pre dealer install of Webasto electric sunroofs. We’d usually get about 10 cars per boat and more often than not at least 2 of them would fail to start. Brand new. Before that, I worked on quite a few MGs , Triumphs, and the like, and man they were sketchy as hell electrically too.

The solution is simple. Once you get it back on the road, trade it in for one of these below. Before anyone talks shit about them, I drove a rental non-Hemi down to Florida and back a few years ago jet-fighter style, no stops but to refuel piss. I would have pissed in the Walgreen's bottle and stayed on the road but family was with me. The seats were amazing, the tech was up to date, and the overall driving experience was pretty good. I found a new respect for these.

I test drove one and I liked it a lot. It was a 22 pre owned. I ended up liking the same year Jeep Grand Cherokee a little more, but I was definitely impressed.

this is the wife units car, since shes the one who drives it every day (and pays for it) she gets what she likes. I tried to talk her into one when we bought it but no go

the fuel pressure issue was almost 3 years ago,. . . . its still spend more time in the shop than my 8 y.o. ram with 140k miles (by a large margin)
