I stacked wood cribbing to get it off the sawhorses. Then a little more cribbing to lower it, and to make clearance under each side. Then lowered the wood onto snowmobile dollies. Right now the spring eyes are within 2” of the frame shackles.

I love it with the stone and wood work and beautiful cars but I would need a work shop. I'd feel naked walking in there without a welding machine, fixturing table, press, and a belt sander/grinder.

Today I got a call from my youngest son Zach that his transmission blew. This apparently was a diagnosis shared with him by his friend Sam who goes to votech and is in the car repair class.

I was out on a bike ride so I couldn’t check the pictures he sent me. Lucky the car was in a Wawa parking lot only a mile or so from the house. After my ride I Drove over and saw a bearing under the car plus this broken cage looking thing. And despite what Sam told him there wasn’t anything leaking from the car.

I quickly figured out it was something with the CV/axle and a google search confirmed it.

Allstate roadside assistance came within the hour and towed to my local shop. Diagnosis confirmed needs new left axle. Will
Be ready tmw.

I told Zach his friend Sam needs to pay more attention in class but for this field test he gets an F-

Knock on wood going well. He got a new job in august that requires driving more so he’s at Around 15K miles already after 2 year and he loves driving it. The few times I’ve taken it out I’m just too nervous to give it the beans since it’s not mine. It’s such a beast.

TBH this is probably what’s gonna happen. Seems like TG weekend is when I’ll carve out the time.

Found this at the curb outside my house yesterday. Guess the bearings from the CV joint were already jumping ship before it completely failed.

Finally found some wheel spacers for my Pathfinder. Top pick is without.
1.5" hub centric aluminum spacers
Only had to modify front mud guards tire hit full lock.

Added RAS ( the spring thing) to the truck to help tow the longer heavier RV. Hope it helps, reviews are solid. Only downside is now it has a bit more take than I like.
