Biggest loser

Thinking about it, I'm going to bow out of the competition. I'm realizing that I'm unintentionally bringing negative energy to this and don't want to derail anyone's progress with it. I'm still going to play along at home when I get better but I'll leave the updates to y'all.

Naw, keep it going. I would much rather see you increment up to something you can sustain than watch people do something for a month and then stop when they reach there goal. Develop a habit, not something that feels like a chore.

Everything in moderation. Build up slow. Don’t even think about weights. Start with a a few 15 second elbow planks and 15 second bird dog holds. Work up from there. It doesn’t have to be completing this big work out to be satisfying.

I know I said I wasn’t going to have any dessert in January but today is kinda a big deal… 😏

This is unacceptable, you will do this. Support is always better.

This dude don't look like he's bringing bad energy anywhere...

Nah bro.
Even if your progress is slower than you like, you’ll make others feel better about theirs. 😉
And I think the tribe has spoken- you’re not going anywhere.

One of my favorite weight loss tactics is to eat only breakfast and Linner (Mrs. G name for it) most days. I am a snackaholic and eat enough in small portions to make up the calories. It seemed weird when I first started, but like anything else, you get used to it. It also helps that the eggnog is gone for the season. Urrrrp.

This is my standard routine on days when I'm not riding or running. Eat a late breakfast and then earlier dinner.

J- definitely dont turn in when or if you really need external motivation. Keep on keeping on

Weekly Check In

Starting Weight: 200.2 lbs, Goal Weight: 175 lbs Current Weight: 198.2 lbs (-2.0 lbs)

Pretty much the week I was hoping for starting off. 20 miles ridden, 2 strength sessions, 9 miles ran, 3 miles hiked. One bad day (NYE) where I had a bunch of bad carbs and snacks...otherwise stuck to the plan and even worked my protein back up over 150g/day with whey shakes again. Give my diet a solid B+.

Starting day 3 of being more strict and trying to break habits. For me it's the convenience factor that makes me eat crappy and make bad choices. So far I've been thinking ahead to make sure I have good options and the worst part is stopping the habit of reaching for a beer. Usually after dinner it's easy to knock back 1 or 2....or 3. But I've got my seltzer back in rotation and so far it's working well. The weekends are the hard part and I have to take off with my kids Thurs/Fri and then survive the weekend. Lets see how this goes. The scale is starting to move, I just need to stay motivated to keep it going in the downward direction.
