Is anyone here not a coffee drinker?
Had to cut coffee way down, cardiologist said I couldn't mix a lot of coffee with alcohol. And now cutting alcohol back for weight so he should be really happy.

SHUT UP and ... MOVE YOUR BODY. I can almost guarantee, you’ll feel better afterwards.
This is a recurring theme amongst the 50+ coaches: we get out of bed feeling crappy, drag our asses to practice, get on the bike creaking and complaining, and go home happier.

Thinking about it, I'm going to bow out of the competition. I'm realizing that I'm unintentionally bringing negative energy to this and don't want to derail anyone's progress with it. I'm still going to play along at home when I get better but I'll leave the updates to y'all.
I'll point you to the last point of my joining statement:
  • come here and confess every f-up

Day 4 progress so far:
Fail: no exercise yet but I seem to have fought off the sinus infection without antibiotics or once.
Fail: Sunday was a 4-hour cooking, 4.5 cans of IPA day, ate a lot of rice, meat, cookies, etc plus midnight snack.
After a nasty acid-reflux night on sunday, monday was atonement day, all I could eat was half a bowl of mashed potatoes and some yogurt with crackers.
Success: Tuesday I actually met my calorie and no-snack rules.
Kinda success: lost 3 lbs in the last 2 days, I assume at least partially due to the forced diet on Monday.

My wife wanted pizza last night - i guess surgery means you get to pick dinner.
Since i have an 18yo that can plow through a whole pie if not kept in check, we ordered 2
for leftovers.

I ate two slices of pepperoni olive with anchovies. It was so good! I'd usually go for a 3rd,
but locked it down! Weighed in this morning, and lighter than the day before.

ever try adding the anchovies (good ones from a can) to the pizza after baking? kicks ass.

that is the way i do it, cause nobody else likes anchovies, and there is no such thing as a 1/2 anchovy pizza!!!

I also have the whole ones which make a nice snack on a cracker. They are packed in a brine, so no extra oily fat.

For some reason I have a sugar craving every day around 11am. I've gone with Bear Naked Protein cinnamon this week which is 260 kcal/60g which hits the spot pretty well. I find as long as I leave work around 1000 calories, I really never get myself into much trouble the rest of the day. Chugging water and black coffee to space out meals has been pretty helpful as well.

right there with you. I have gotten my wife hooked, but my kids cant stand it.

I need to try this. How do I know they're "good ones" ???

for pizza, you'll need filleted, packed in oil.
check above - i've been doing crowned prince in cans. good enough and good price point.
bad reviews on amazon lately tho. if in staten island, https://www.labellamarkets.com/
or the jars at the local market.

I also have anchovy paste - good for caesar salad dressing

I have a little bag of jelly beans I got in my stocking that I've been eating a couple a day. I like candy so if I don't eat some everyday I will die.

You can do whatever you want with regard to the competition (I don't care for it for example, but not for me to say) but that statement is utter nonsense, I don't see that happening under any circumstances!

Not that I eat pizza anymore, but THE real pizza is tomato, mozzarella di bufala, anchovies and capers.

Starting weight 216 lbs.
Fighting weight 195 lbs (by 4/1)

I'm very happy to report that I weighed 213 lbs at noon today. That's after two coffees and an everything egg bagel with two eggs.
I skipped the bacon and cheese, which would have added 360 calories and a whopping 18 grams of fat.

Today's lesson: Small adjustments can make significant changes in one's journey to better health.

I stopped eating Gelatin towards the end of 2019. Sour Watermelon things are what I miss the most. Some of the brands don't have Gelatin so when I find them, it's on.

I've been getting some plane-based Licorice at Stop and Shop. Australian? Austrian? Something like that.

Just confirmed with the wife, cheese pizza for dinner (no more than 2 slices for me) and anchovies present in the pantry. Damn you.
