A pair of monk parakeets (actually a non-native species of parrots) on a wire. These things never stop yakking - even when flying.

By wingdam just above the furnace, also looking out from the boat launch.
My friend Mike says they have a nest you can see from Sitting Bear looking out at the island.
I'm guessing that's papa being busy now feeding mama as she sits on the nest.

A good birding day, I just can't name them.

Thankfully the herons are back in Shark River Hills. The trees that house their nests were in danger du to a huge house being built on the lot. Public outcry to the town and the builder had them spared.

I believe It’s a female Oriole.
You can see the yellow/orange tail in this pic. She really digs jelly and orange slices.
