sorry, i wasnt aware of the requirement to respond to your questions with a video, (not that i will do it, but i didnt know).
 
Never mind "riding" whiteface, all I heard of were good things about the mtb scene up there.
 
@Norm , that restaurant was once called the Hungry Trout and now a resort it seems?- parents used to go there and get bonkers on this drink called a bushwacker. anyways, if you're into some cliff jumping into a river.... on your way to whiteface, once you cross over the Ausable river there is a parking lot on the right, park there and hike the trails... should be plenty of cars parked there. if you googlemap "flume Falls" it will get you there.

you can drive into lake placid and get some good grub in town too. or head over to saranac lake...plenty of life there
 
i know you're still traveling and won't be updating this for a bit...

but what was the nicest surprise of your trip?
