I knew there would be dirt roads just didnt realize that many. Not my thang on skinny tires. And we lucked out last year, they were in good shape. Don't like the idea of mucking up my beloved evo

Whats the deal, this is just a ride? Open roads? Timed? Finishing order?

Kinda on the fence with spending the money.

It really is just a ride, however there are those who want to be in the lead group and push a race pace. In the past this was looked upon as a training race for the season, for some it still is. It is timed but there are no awards for placement. All the roads are open to traffic.
For me its more of a social event, training ride with good food and beer after.

That fricken wind was no picnic last year. Especially if you were riding alone (like me) with no one to draft

I'm in. I love this ride, it's like 10 group rides in one. If your feeling strong try and hold on to the lead group. Once you blow up, drop back and find a good group to work with or find your buddies. The year I flatted was from low tire pressure. Last year I ran bontrager A3s and they were fine
