socks were worn. if you've ever walked barefoot your feet have gotten much dirtier

the actual fact is that the shoes are my wife's but they're too big. she wore them once at ringwood and a couple of times for commuting, which is 10 minutes each way to the train station

I've tossed my MTB shoes in the washer before and they survived. I would hose them down before throwing them in, if you want to try it. Sorry I don't offer warranties
