Saw one of my friends on the edge of the trail in Sterling today. It didn’t move or even rattle. I had to find my way around it thru the thicket.

Ran into a large rattler today at Ringwood on Race Trail just south of the gas line. Didn’t see him until I heard him. Prolly 4’ -5’ in length. I waited until he skulked away. Beautiful markings. No pics because he blended right in. Amazing camouflage.

Apparently the state bird of Alaska. Huge ravens are everwhere and have an interesting repertoire of vocalizations. Have no idea what this guy was doing with that blue wrapper

Spotted just outside the park

Mercer on Friday. Middle of the woods about 10 ft off path. Came racing up skidded to a stop. Yawn. One one the right couldn't be bothered to get up.

Outside my office. For the longest time it was a single eagle. Looks like he finally found a mate, and left Philly for Jersey.
