Probably best to avoid white markers in the snow. Stick to colors or shotgun shells. I do not have snow shoes, spare tires or a harness but would be willing to help. Probably could use the case of beer as the weight, though as you get further in, the trail gets less packed. Maybe pick up a rock at that point.

Definitely learned that the moderately difficult way. Kinda fun to explore the WMA off trail. First time snowshoeing for me.

The Weldon (Mahlon) WMA? I followed somebody’s snowshoe tracks from the park and ride for about an hour yesterday before I realized we weren’t even remotely on any trail. It was pretty cool till I fell in a hole and got trapped under a log at one point lol.

Nope Wildcat.
