Well I'm in the market for an adjustable seat post and I have my mind set on the kind shock posts , what do you guys use ? Seems like crank brothers and the reverb have lots of issues . Any info would be great !

I've noticed how badly I need a flip of a switch on the fly for these NJ trails 🙂

Cuz I like going down fast and taking jumps or railing turns 🙂 .. Then when I need to climb I need my seat up hi due to my bikes geo and 160mm fork .

I've owned the KS 900r and KS 950r and was disappointed both times.

Sad to say I was also disappointed with the Reverb. After a few months I had to send it back because it would not hold air. They replaced it and so far so good.

Chris the advantage of a drop post is that it lowers your center of gravity when you go vertical which helps you shred it faster.

Gotcha. I guess I just didnt know why a quick release seat post clamp wouldnt do the same trick.

Ya I saw the gravity droppers but they look a bit goofy , I'm sure the reverb has fixed their issues .. Well see what happens , but I have faith in them , next week I should have it in .

I have the KS i900R. I really love this post and have had it since March of this year with great service. It did however, just recently start acting up(would sink about 2" from full extension triggered full up). Called the KS rep and was told to send it right in. I just sent it back so cannot report yet on how that is going to turn out.

Had/Have the Crank Bros. Was great while it lasted. Used many times per ride - even in "easy" places like Lewis Morris to get better traction on fast turns. It's now mushy at the top (i.e. won't fully lock). Seems to be a common problem.

That's the same issue I had with the 950. Was the reps name Rick?

Well I just pulled the trigger on a Reverb 🙂 ..
Very cool man! ...welcome to the club.

Thanks Manny! I'm excited to use it , I know for a fact my rides will be way more fun ... Most expensive mod I've done on the bike so far , next is mission control DH damper rebound /compression kit 🙂 for the lyrik

I have the X-Fusion Hilo. Have had it since May. I am using the under seat lever at the moment and I have not mastered it so I probably don't use it as often as I should. I am thinking about installing the handle bar remote ( which it came with ). So far I have had no problems with the post, when fully extended and I sit, it does sink just a little.

I have put a full season on a KS 950r and have had zero problems. The earlier models did have problems such as high stiction, rotating to the side, scratching/wear of the shaft, and floating up if the seat was pulled up. All these issues have been fixed in the posts they have been shipping for the past year.

Plan to get another one for the 29er too.
