When do they start to buy the dip?

Any buyers? I bought an AAPL $157 march put and NFLX 260 and immediately made a profit but now with AAPL news I think I sold too early at the open yesterday. I did nab 50 AAPL after hours at $146.25 for a quick trade. This may be knife catching however. Not recommended.

That's why I asked earlier about buying for the long term. Yes, AAPL is painful to watch, but since I bought at $53, I'm still way up. Not like a few months ago, but likely to climb back up by the time I need it.

I think oil is slowly slowly dying. They should start diversifying to more green energy.

so it's been edging up for the last two weeks but that's only 8 trading days
I really wanted to start adding to some longs yesterday at close but shoulda woulda coulda.

I think this is just a temporary pump? Trump is going to open his mouth again saying he was right about Powell yada yada and it will go down again. Plus the trade talks will continue and go on and on.

Sold my AAPL today for a small gain. I bought more TLT puts yesterday. I still think bonds collapse next. I am going to nibble back into FAS and SSO puts minday or tuesday. Looking for S&P to hault somewhere a hair over 2600. I am looki g for a reversal back to 2430ish and if that doesn’t hold we can go down to 2300ish.I think there is some support in between however around 2330-35. Don’t listen to me though. I made more in the last two months than I have in the last 12 years of trading.

Volatility means opportunity.
Way to take advantage of it.

Is this a post-tax account, so gains are treated as short-term?

I have no idea what you're talking about here but congrats on the gains! Good news on friday put the bear back in hibernation for another month?

My former employer Celgene just made the headlines being purchased by Bristol Meyers. I am still a shareholder. If the takeover gets approved by shareholders I’ll get $50 cash, a $9 CVR (value based on approval milestones of three potential products) and a share of BMY. I’ll take it considering the past year’s performance. BMY pays a dividend and will now have Celgene’s pipeline (which includes ozanimod - a potential blockbuster and some other phase 2/3 potential products) plus 7 approved products with some that bring in over $1 billion in sales annually (including Revlimid that has the potential to sell $12 billion annually even though patent runs out in a few years). I’m hoping the transaction goes through.

Have a feeling biotechs may have some M&A activity this year. Plenty of cash and the big companies are going to be looking for new technologies and treatments to fill future revenue gaps. As far as new technologies go, the CAR-T potential looks incredible for cancer treatments, so I’m going to put some capital in some companies with pre-approval/later stage studies going on, like bluebird bio (who is/was working with Celgene on a CAR-T project called BB2121).

Risky, but I think potentially good investment opportunities and more importantly companies developing potentially life changing tech for patients.

Ultimately I think this may be too deep but the American Democracy is ending. The powers that be(the mega rich and the fed) will try to inflate the economy any way they can but ultimately I see a mass worldwide depression looming where trillions and trillions will be lost. It’s not sustainable. I feel AAPL will lead this collapse. You will see ups and downs maybe wven a last all time high.

well if the world collapses, then it is all relative?

everyone slice a decimal place off everything.

Eh I buy the usual retreat to a bear market and then bull again, but not this end-of-the-world crap. If you really believe it, why bother investing? It'll be pointless. You should be building a bunker in Montana
