What nuance of red should have @Pearl paint his 2014 EM SS to get $1500 for it? Let’s debate.

I've had steel and its real but this bike just fits. If I were to go custom it would be 44 Bikes.

I’ve heard that those frames get heavy AF. Good for the enduro bros but would hate to pedal a 28lb singlespeed around no matter how much you don’t care about going fast

I feel that with the Vasaggo. Definitely feel the few pounds over the Pivot. Which by the way is back in play .

I'm so confused myself. No, no custom steel. Just another Salsa Ti, fixed Salsa or a 1500 Ti frame. Other then that Just a 2016 Red Salsa Large El Mariachi.

I wouldn't be surprised if opening the box would release a cloud of freshly brewed Covid-19. Probably the only thing in the box. I'm really feeling optimistic today.

That would actually be my best option, but I'm too much of a schlub to do it. But thank you. What's the best gear inches for backpacking in NJ ?

Congratulations! Unless that means you will be spending the next few nights in a cold garage with cold steel instead of in warm bed with warm wife.

Assuming the light blue vixen was a contributing factor to deflecting the focus to @Pearl and renaming this thread. Unless the light blue paint is scratched or chipped and needs a new paint job - in which case the focus may switch again back to what is the Salsa part number for the original red paint you desire.

I should be fine, thank you for your concerns. I think I was going to come out eventually but...it was a joke! But hey, you never know, I maybe sleeping under a blanket of stars tonight!

With regard to the thread title and its evolution...I just wanted to make it official, since @Pearl seemed to have taken over the thread it felt just fair to give him recognition on the thread name. That's all. I even started fixing to post with a slight southern accent but y'all didn't even notice!

You skipped a few passages there. No big deal though, none of this matters anyway.

A few pointers:

- I don't like painting bikes, so when I look for an used frame I like them in as good as possible condition. Or new.

- I would powder coat a frame if in dire need, and I've done it before, but I prefer originality.

- I determined that the 2016 red frame is impossible to find unless I first spend money on a differently colored frame (it's just a law of nature). Hence the 2015 light blue frame (which by the way I fond to look dope nonetheless).

- I'm looking for the RAL codes for mu Mukluk frame because it had to be repaired and as a result there's a spot that needs matching paint (I was going to leave it just primed but it started bothering me now).

- I keep looking at add for 2016 red el mariachi but not obsessively. I've got about 250 other thongs I need to do that have higher priority. The light blue frame was just the result of being in need of mostly undeserved gratification and its popping out at the right (or wrong) time.

Sorry I confused this discussion with the matching paint for your Mukluk. Hopefully all works out at home (with the shipping and receipt) and you have a great New Year holiday!

Your condensed version sums it up nicely, which may be helpful to other readers after 20 pages. I suspect some may go back through the earlier content for additional details about a collection of 250 thongs that may or may not have been mentioned on a previous page.
