When the Commies take over.
Swap my pedals? Da faq you talking bout?Did you swap your pedals? I'm assuming you did.
It's always the chainring that creaks. 20 out of 10 times.

After cleaning and regreasing my perfectly good headset and BB, checking the torque on all frame bolts, checking the chainring / power meter was torqued to the crank, cleaning and greasing the seat post clamp, friction paste on the post, I went to clean and regrease the cassette on the free hub, I found the issue. My rear skewer was a little loose. LOL.
I still cleaned and anti seized the cassette on the free hub threads.
I’ve been chasing a creak on my Allez and after basically rebuilding the bike I found it was the derailleur hanger. It’s always the dumbest shit.
I was expecting the guys buddy taped a whistle under the car. That would have been amazing.Reminds me of a post I just read on an STI forum:
I have a 2011 STi, 30k kms on the chassis, IAG built motor, G30-770, ETS turbo kit, yadda yadda.
I recently started driving the car again, and had to get the IAG motor because my cosworth one had failed. I decided to upgrade the turbo then from a GT3076 to a G30-660. I had this weird whistling noise when I was driving. The speed shop told me "oh thats just the noise the turbo makes, nothing to be done about it" I talked to a turbo supplier "yeah well it can kinda make that noise because of the compressor housing" "if I go to a larger housing will the noise go away?" "maybe" so I swapped to a G30-770. Noise persisted. I tried a different BOV, adjusting the shit out of that, still, this whistling noise.
I had a diff exhaust fabbed (but I did that for many reasons) trying to track down the source of this whistling noise. It was absolutely ear piercing and was there any time the engine was under load. You could hear it in the cabin, especially if you had the window down. it was very unpleasant. It'd do it briefly on cold start, and always kinda sounded like it was coming from the cold air intake. I tried different air filters to try and muffle it a bit. I replaced my Alternator and PS pump (PS Pump was making a different whining noise) so I quieted down the engine bay a lot, but I was still getting this whistling noise. It was so annoying I didn't even want to drive the car I'd sunk a ton of money into in the last 16 months.
Oh, I also replaced the AOS twice.
So the other day I had a moment of inspiration, and ordered a replacement oil filler cap gasket. It cost $2.
The noise is gone.

Did the engine blow after changing the oil filler cap gasket?Reminds me of a post I just read on an STI forum:

That is a deviously brilliant prank. Need to buy a harmonica before next track day.

They had a fire in their US warehouse when I was ordering my fat bike. They ended up shutting their US operations afterwards and I had to have it shipped from the UK, but was terrible in shipping charges or wait timegreat color. My friend in the UK has a bunch of bikes from On One he loves them.
Thanks! I've had this bike for a little over a year and a half, it's been rock solid so far.great color. My friend in the UK has a bunch of bikes from On One he loves them.
