What have you done to your bike today?

Hooray for not being glued to an outlet all winter!

Dynohub? battery buffer for when you stop?
more info!!!
nice commuter!

Thanks, and yep, It's a B&M Lumotech IQ CYO Premium Senso Plus (holy hell, that's a lot of appellations, but that's German for you)/B&M Toplight Line Brake Plus connected to a Shimano Alfine dynamo. Both lights are equipped with a 4 minute standlight, though the headlight all but shuts off when stopped (hence the battery powered backup/'I've just rolled up to a busy intersection' light). The rear light is a neat piece of equipment; it's two refracted LEDs that create a series of vertical bars, along with circuitry that causes the light to pulse when it detects a drop in input current (ie: the bike is slowing down).

More than enough light for riding around, but may seem dim compared to the current crop of tiny suns that MTB-ers are used to. The beam shots are actually pretty accurate, in a pitch black area.

Got some new and new to me tidbits on the grocery bike build!

New Rotors and calipers (thanks Jim)

Replaced brake pads on the FS rig.
Had one pad on the rear fall apart on the trail- the braking compound just fell off,
leaving me braking with the backing plate. Judging by the wear on the remaining pad, they still had at least half of their life left.
Sanded the rotor a bit to take out the new grooves I carved in them from the pad rivets.

Kudos to Shimano customer service, I called (consumer direct line- wow),
and they sent 4 sets of replacement pads to cover the OEM ones that came with the front and rear brakes.
Said they had some issues.

Also been playing around with the fat tubelessness.
Holds during a ride, but flat the next day.
Will throw more Stanses at it and see if that solves it.

Walked past the bike hanging in the garage and squeezed the tires to see if the tubeless was still holding air. Impressed to say they both had about 15 psi despite the bike not being ridden since September 24th. 😵
