There is no doubt MTB'er gravitate toward beer, but maybe not as many as you think. I mean I don't think 50% of the site is posting in this thread. May be has somewhat to do with sharing a cold six pack after a ride on a hot day.

Good question.
Check out pics of Kaleidopete's fat bike - he eschews the lowly water bottle for customized booze bottles/cages. Personally I'm a beer guy - by tradition we pass around bottles of Yukon Jack on the annual Canadian fishing trip but that's about it for hard liquor for me

Just something else some people like to discuss on the forum other than biking, racing, wrenching, etc
It's a good place to post reviews and recommendations, etc, and its feasible to buy a six-pack or single bottle of beer based on a recommendation.
Could work for wines too, but maybe not for hard liquor. I think it wood be hard to buy liquor such as another bottle of single malt scotch every time someone recommends juan.
Perhaps start a thread for mixed drinks and see how the conversation goes!
