What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

I still have a bomber of southern tier creme Brule stout so I got that going for me

Yeah no ride today for you??

Took the day off. Mom's bday, had to drive to toms river. Plan was to ride allaire before the party, but the conditions left me less than excited. I was far enough ahead that I felt it was a smart day off. Cold point and one park tomorrow should seal it.

Cool, I'm going out for a 5 park ride right now! 😉

Instead of going out for a 5 park ride, I decided to pop one of these open sans Mitch, but with my friend J.S. Bach. I will get some more for him when he is no longer bleeding all over the place.

I'm not a big IPA guy, but this one is quite tasty. It's got a rich, almost sweet taste. Also a kind of metallic aftertaste in a good way. I hope that's not just the taste of the aluminum can.

Glad you're enjoying it. Good stuff like I said.

My wifes new favorite beer. This is the first time I've tasted orange from hops. Complex with a lot of flavor, not too hoppy doe.

Victory Earth & Flame

750ml format bottle, $15, 11.7% ABV

This Scotch Ale is a one-time run by our friends at Victory. Successfully delivers that peaty, dirt nose of a lowland scotch. Then a smokey hint, which fits perfectly. some vanilla and caramel, good stuff. Going to find another bottle and save it for when my dad visits....

Ballantine IPA.

Apparently they made this back in the day. Was the only (or at least one of the only IPAs available). Then they stopped making it when the market only wanted mass produced crap.

They don't have an exact recipe so this is their attempt to recreate the old school IPA.

Not bad. Not bad at all. Didn't necessarily blow my mind but still very good. And at $9 a 6 pack I may certainly buy again. In fact, as I type this I am not sure you will find a better IPA for $9 per 6 pack. So with that in mind.... This is a winner!!!!

Here is an article about it...

Anything with grapefruit is out of the question for me. And yeah for 15 dollars you can say you were had. Once stupid twice a fool. It has happened to me more than once.😉

I know that Stone did the Grapefruit thing with the Stochasticity project. Meh.

I think the fruit and flower flavors should be from the hops only. :drooling:
