What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

The night is not over. Somehow, I was the only person left it the bar and got into a conversation with Joe the manager and he was talking up this beer the Rueze brewed by The Bruery from Placentia, CA. I actually shared a bit of it with Joe and the cute female Asian bartender who I found out was trying to finish up her thesis for hotel management or something like that, I can't remember too good because I may have one too many beers. Anyways, cute girls are not very important, only beer is, and Joe says he is into sour beers these days, and I am sort of digging it because I always into stuff that is unusual - I mean take a look at my bike. So yeah, I tried the 25oz Rueze which cost $29 (too bad the owner guy was not there to pick up my tab). I think it must have been worth it because I enjoyed it very much along with the conversations with Joe and the cute Asian bartender. Before, I type too much more, I will just finish off this post with a few photos.

Oh I should also note that he gave me a big sample of Rodenbah Gran Cru which is another sour beer and supposed to be one of favorites of Michael Jackson (probably not the singer) RIP, or something like that. I mean it must be good because it gets a 95% from Beer Advocate.

Forget my post about you being my sponsor, your more of an enabler. What time do I need to be at your place Sunday...

it is problematic. Gotta say, committing to having 1 beer, looking forward to it, and enjoying it was a nice change.

come around 1, we'll hit the sourlands before the game.

Public Service Announcement: Hi-Res is back.

What exactly is this you speak of?

I asked a bit about the Stone Brewery takeover. He says all 24 taps will ve Stone stuff. I didn't know what else to ask since I don't know too much about Stone stuff.

There will also be a Carton takeover in April which some of you may be interested in. I will post up when the dates get closer.

Apparently, Joe the manager is very excited about getting Forgetten Boardwalk stuff from Cherry Hill this Sat. Will report back.

Here is an article on NJ craft beer site about what's happening at the Wing Factory.

Thanks for the follow-up infer on the STone tap takeover.

So today iz the big Forgetten Boardwalk day. Apparently the brewery people will be stopping by later after the beer show in Secaucus. Joe is very excited he said its the first time the beer has been sold in Bergen County he had to call them like 5 times before they caved and agreed to deluver some kegs.

First I tried the 1916 Shore Shiver which is an IPA. I haven't really developed a pallet for IPA's yet but it tastes pretty standard not too hoppy.

Then I try the Funnel Cake which I'm told will be on the house. Iis a creme ale they call it a boardwalk ale whatever that means. Smooth cremey vanilla almost seems like I'm drininking a hamburger. This is more my style. Can't get into the sharp hoppy stuff yet.

Just hit up my local spot to fill growlers for the game.
Had a Carton Regular Coffee-
I was expecting it to be darker,
since the name gets you ready for a stout.
But its a cream ale. Like Genesee, except really really good.
Damn tasty beverage (sorry Mitch).

Chased that with a Southern Tier Grand Arbor (saison),
also another damn tasty beverage.
That brewery can do no wrong.

Growlers = Founders Porter and Dogfish 60 minute

Edit: Bartender was a dude. No pics.

I picked up a growler of 07xx, 2 six packs of nugget, and a 4 pack of hi-res.

Growler needs to go first
