JORBA: Sourlands
JORBA.ORG
I really need to learn some trails in this state so i can start riding. Does someone wanna show me around anywhere thats within a 1 hour drive from Hoboken? I'm a highly skilled technical rider with a little bit of winter weight so i wont be hammering but i wont be lollygagging either. Either saturday or sunday, just about anytime would work.

hmmm seems just a bit far (and early) but maybe if nothing else pops up. I would need directions or an address.

I'd really like to learn 6 Mile Run, Chimney Rock, Ringwood or Allamuchy.

I'm noob and need to tag along for a noob ride, wawa is kinda far and i hate the cops up there, let me know where your going gmb3, maybe we could get a noob fest going at 6mil, i was going to go Lewis Morris.

If I don't go Stewart Sunday I would be up for leading a ride at either six mile or chimney rock. I'll post up when i figure out whatsup.

sourlands is the place for you. highly technical but can be done at moderate pace and still be great. i am flexible on schedule as well . let me know i do know it well and can lead.

Faster, let me know when and if you guys are heading out I'm in the same boat as gmb. Thanx

Jump on the Waway ride, on the way out hit Jungle Habitat. Lunch at Paul's Place for some Tasty Texas Weiners.
Learn 2 parks in 1 day.

Noon sounds good. Loop is 7 to 8 hard miles more if we back track a bit. two hours at Sourlands is a good workout.

Alright i will be there at noon. Just goto the spot on the googlemap from the jorba page?

I'll be in a grey accord with a black giant xtc hardtail.

just got around to reading the review on the sourlands, and you gents might have to leave me hanging, this is going to be my 2nd bike ride in 10 years. I do not think i can clear this trip as fast as you guys can, if there are any noobs that want to tag along that ride at my pace (pace=turtle with no legs), we are meeting up in the lot at noon?

How technical are we talking here? The reviews make this place sound like its impossible and not much fun!

I might join you guys...

watch the vids, i guess it's as technical as you want it to be, you can ride on the boulders but you can opt to go around them along with the logs, i'm a beginner so i will be taking my time, doing it slow and easy (like a virgin!) i don't know the other guy's expertise hence possibility of being left behind. If your a noob, come on down, it's noob fest. I will be in a dark gray pathfinder with a black cannondale mtb.
