Wawayanda Spring Cleaning Cat 3 Course Preview/Maps

I was a little worried there was too much pavement and fire roads from what some were saying but after riding the cat 1 coarse today I'm not worried anymore. It's a nice mix with a little of everything thrown in so it should be a fun race. It was a spectacular day to be riding today, btw.....See ya's next sunday

I agree with clockwise being better - last year everyone arrived at the rocks/baby heads (if i'm not getting my courses mixed up) really quickly after the start and there were riders falling off all around each other - was impossible to get any momentum. This time it's all at the end so everyone will be very spread out.

need guides

My buddy John and myself are headed up to preride the course tomorrow afternoon. Any locals wanna ride and show us central jersey kooks the course? Pay you with a six-pack...😎

I going to jump in on this thread, Does anyone know where the start finish is for the cat 1-2 class is. Which of the 6000 parking lot is the one that we need to park at?

Have to mention the great TM that goes on there. Even the techy rock gardens have flow. Let's hope it stays dry. That rooty boggy section was a mess yesterday and all else was dry as a bone.

yeh, that's wayway ... land of many lakes or swamps 🙄

Even when the rocks are dry they can be unexpectedly challenging with tires wet from the boggy sections.

Can someone provide GPS coordinates for where we park or the best entrance.

Also, if the course isn't marked by saturday morning, anyone care to show me the loop. Either cat 2 or 3.

I followed my GPS this morning and it took me in the back way through Breakneck Road (how nice!) and the gate was closed. I parked there and rode down to the boat launch parking area. It was only half a mile. Maybe they will open the gate tomorrow?

The category 3 course is really nice... the beginning isn't too technical, but there is one really awful rock garden maybe 3/4 the way through.. but after that it's just really fun!!!!

That gate is usually locked until after Memorial Day. Best to use the entrance off Warwick Tnpk.

The 9th Annual Wawayanda Spring Cleaning race is just 2 weeks away. We have some great courses set for all racers.

There will be a beginner/new racer clinic ride on May 1 at 5:30 pm at the park. Meet at the Boat House Parking lot. A guided tour of the Cat 3 course will be given by one of our team members with pointers on how to negotiate some of the obstacles on the course.

This is intended for those new racers and those thinking about giving it a try.

The course maps have been posted on our Facebook page at:

is this going to happen this year too?
