Wawayanda Events

anyone know what that event was this past weekend? looked like a bike race. kind of pissed me off though because they decided to put tape all over the place by the aux entrance restrooms and then they had some film crew on black eagle completely blocking the trail (the entire trail, no way to get around them). i'm all for the races but man don't make it difficult for ppl to use the park

yeah they manufactured / taped off some tracks by the restrooms that were impossible to ride through, had to dismount and climb/duck like 3-4 times to get to red dot. not a big deal i guess but still annoyed me as an innocent babe in the woods trying to get my biweekly ride in lol. also it's just weird to me that you'd go through such effort when there are some perfectly short naturally occurring trails right there

EDIT: it looks like they ran a 1.5 mile closed loop, so i guess that's why they had to make one manually...

idk the film crew may have been unrelated but it seemed like quite the production, i saw a RED camera with multiple tripods and lights (in the middle of the day). they were set up right at the entrance of black eagle (old section)
