Imo, it's before the commercialization 29" tire around 1999. People used 700c but wide n knobby tires weren't available

We did this at LewMo combined with a picnic and got 13 riders plus another dozen museum pieces displayed after the ride. Allaire would be easier riding. I'm in for either.

I wanted that Nishiki so bad when it came out. I think it was the Alien.

I can’t imagine riding this out on trails. It felt so weird just on the streets. Stem is 125mm and the bars are 590mm!
