I have a 2011 trek wahoo and my fork is so damn spongy im thinking I might up grades the fork as long as it does not cost me and arm and a leg. Any clue what you guys think this might end up costing me?? Think I want to do tube less 26" rims as well to maybe lighten her up a bit any recommendations on those as well?

MHO, You would be better off buying a nicer bike rather than upgrading parts on your current rig.
Is it still under warranty? Is the fork actually broken?

Trek uses their own fork geometry, you would have to find a G2 fork for that bike. You would have a really hard time finding a 26" G2 fork, but see if you can find a Fox fork in G2.

No the fork is not broken it just seems really spongy . I bought the wahoo cause it seemed like it would suit my needs and my budget and the reviews weren't bad. I really wanted the stumpjumpper but at the time I couldn't justify spending the doe.

Upgrade as you please , your money and your bike . You can make your bike just as good as the others . Me personally , I would upgrade my bike but the geometry I want to ride my bike doesn't allow it , so I'm gonna build up on a frame tHat fits what I want 🙂 . But if you like your frame for what you do then by all means upgrade it 🙂 , no need to but another bike and upgrade parts on that as well .

new wheels and fork will cost you almost as much as the original price of the bike. And your still left with a average at best drivetrain. IMO ride the bike for now, save some cash and get a new bike in either late fall/early spring and sell the Wahoo. Also you said you want 26" wheels, the Wahoo is a 29er

Not sure what type of fork it is but have you tried to adjust the air pressure, change the springs, or whatever adjustments it may have. This could be a cheap fix. Go back to the shop where you bought the bike and ask them for help or do a little research online about the fork.
